I have a big surprise when I want to restore it. Everything works great, exept Networking. I had no ping, no internet, nothing.<\/p>\n<p>The problem was caused because VMWare tools asign a new Mac address.<\/p>\n<p>How to solve this problem:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the phisical location of you VM files and find vmware_suse.vmx<\/li>\n<li>Open it and find the following entry: ethernet0.generatedAddress<\/li>\n<li>Copy the MAC address<\/li>\n<li>Now, go to the SuSE VMWare and open a termina<\/li>\n<li>su &#8211; root<\/li>\n<li>Showdown your ethernet interface: ifconfig eth0 down<\/li>\n<li>Add the MAC address from you VMWare: ifconfig eth0 hw ether AA:11:BB:22:CC:33<\/li>\n<li>Start-up your ethernet interface: ifconfig eth0 up<\/li>\n<li>If you use DHCP it is recommended that you will boot your system to renew all the entries into the DHCP server: shutdown -r now<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>That&#8217;s it!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To have a backup of my virtual machine I just copied it to a DVD.
